Govinda Health Update: Actor Expected To Leave Hospital After Recovery From Gun Incident

Bollywood actor and Shiv Sena leader Govinda, known for a recent incident involving his licensed revolver, is set to leave CritiCare Asia Hospital in Mumbai on Friday. He suffered a bullet wound below the knee and was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit on Tuesday morning.

Govinda's manager explained that the actor accidentally discharged his gun while trying to store it in a cupboard after cleaning it at around 4:45 AM. The revolver slipped from his hand, causing the injury. Following this, Govinda immediately contacted his wife and manager for assistance.

Sunita Ahuja, Govinda's wife, shared updates with ANI about his recovery. "He is better. We will admit him to the normal ward today. He is much better than yesterday (and) will be discharged the day after tomorrow. With everyone's blessings... he has recovered," she stated.

Sunita reassured fans by saying, "He has a great fan following, so people are praying for him. I would like to tell the fans not to panic... he is fine." She was in Kolkata when the incident occurred but remained optimistic about his recovery.

The manager quickly reached Govinda's home after receiving an emergency call from him. They had planned to travel to Kolkata for a show, and he had just arrived at the airport when he got the news. This led to Govinda being taken promptly to the hospital.

Tina Ahuja, Govinda's daughter, joined her father at the hospital later that day. Dr. Ramesh Agarwal performed surgery to remove the bullet and confirmed that Govinda's condition is stable but stressed that rest is crucial for at least a month.

After news of the incident spread, fans expressed concern over Govinda's health. In response, he released an audio message thanking them for their prayers and expressing gratitude towards the medical team for their care.

A number of actors and film industry personalities have visited Govinda in the hospital since then. Everyone hopes for his swift recovery!
