Directed by George Miller, Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga marks the fifth instalment in the Mad Max franchise. The film had its world premiere at the prestigious 77th Cannes Film Festival.

The prequel takes the audience 15-20 years back into the past with Anya Taylor-Joy stepping into the shoes of younger Furiosa and her journey. Set in the post-apocalyptic era, the Hollywood biggie also stars Chris Hemsworth in the lead along with Tom Burke, Alyla Browne among others in pivotal roles.

The official logline of the movie reads, "Snatched from the Green Place of Many Mothers, young Furiosa falls into the hands of a great biker horde led by the warlord Dementus. Sweeping through the Wasteland, they come across the Citadel, presided over by the Immortan Joe. As the two tyrants fight for dominance, Furiosa soon finds herself in a nonstop battle to make her way home."

According to a report by Screenrant, Warner Bros. apparently confirmed that Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga will stream on their exclusive streaming platform, Max. While the official OTT release date is yet to be announced, it is believed that the Chris-Anya starrer will be available on most major PVOD (Premium Video on Demand) services approximately a month after its theatrical release.

Major WB movies enjoy approximately a theatrical run for at least 75 days before heading for its OTT release.
