Film Bazaar 2024: NDFC India Reveals Diverse Selections For Co-Production Market Featuring Films And Web Series

The NFDC Film Bazaar 2024 is set to take place at the Marriott Resort in Goa from November 20 to 24. This event is notable for its diverse Co-Production Market lineup, featuring 21 feature films and 8 web series projects. The selection spans languages such as Hindi, English, Assamese, Tamil, Marwari, Bengali, and Malayalam. This linguistic variety highlights narratives from seven countries, underscoring the event's dedication to multicultural storytelling.

This year's Co-Production Market received an impressive number of submissions. A total of 180 feature film proposals came from 23 countries in 30 languages. Additionally, there were 38 web series proposals from eight countries in 14 languages. This overwhelming response highlights the market's importance in offering financial support and a platform for a wide range of cinematic works across genres like drama, comedy, action, and thriller.

Among the standout feature films is "A Night's Whispers and the Winds," an Assamese narrative by producer Prateek Bagi and director Krrishna Kt. Borah. Another notable project is "Aadu Ki Kasam" (Destiny's Dance), presented in English and Hindi by producer Alan McAlex and director Saraswathi Vani Balgam. Additionally, "Aanaikatti Blues," a Tamil film by producers Madhu Mohan, Siva KG, and Mathivanan Rajendran with director Arun Karthick, adds to the exciting lineup.

The market also features "Absent," a Hindi-English film by producers Abhishek Chaubey and Honey Trehan with director Rohan K Mehta. Other projects include "All Ten Heads Of Ravanna," a Hindi film by producer Bich-Quan Tran and director-producer Pranjal Dua; "Chetak," a Hindi-Marwari film by producer Suruchi Sharma and director Bhuwan Somani; "Divine Chords" from Bangladesh and India in Bengali by producers Aadnan Imtiaz Ahmed and Jonaki Bhattacharya with director Talat Ahmed; and "Feral" in English by producers Tobias Reeuwijk and Nancy Degnan with director Nihaarika Negi.

The web series section introduces intriguing projects like "Age Of Deccan - The Legend Of Malik Ambar" in Hindi and English, produced by Shobu Yarlagadda with direction by Krish Jagarlamudi. Another engaging project is "Chauhans BNB Bed And Basera" in Hindi, produced by Ujjawal Dubey with direction by Shivangi Singh. These projects showcase potential for fresh narratives in digital media.
