Fighter Movie's Box Office Collection Dips Below 1 Cr on Day 23
Hrithik Roshan's latest venture, Fighter, directed by Siddharth Anand and co-starring Deepika Padukone, has been the talk of the town since its release. This aerial action drama, which also features Anil Kapoor, Karan Singh Grover, and Akshaye Oberoi, marks Roshan's first on-screen pairing with Padukone. The film showcases the actors as Indian Air Force Pilots, a premise that has intrigued audiences nationwide.
Despite its initial success, Fighter has encountered challenges in maintaining its box office momentum. Over three weeks post-release, the film has successfully crossed the Rs 200 crore milestone. Yet, it has experienced a noticeable decline in weekday collections. Recent reports highlight that Fighter has seen its lowest single-day earnings as it enters its fourth week, with a significant 48% drop in collections post-Valentine's Day.

According to data from Sacnilk, the movie's revenue dipped to Rs 0.9 crores on its 22nd day (fourth Thursday), bringing its total to Rs 201.7 crores. Current projections suggest a further decrease, anticipating earnings of Rs 80-85 lakhs on the 23rd day (fourth Friday). The upcoming weekend could be crucial for Fighter in reversing this downward trend.
In an interview with ANI, Roshan expressed his admiration for co-star Deepika Padukone. He commended her ability to bring authenticity to her role, which he found instrumental in creating a believable and engaging dynamic between their characters. Roshan emphasized the importance of matching Padukone's realism to avoid overacting, highlighting their on-screen chemistry as both "vulnerable" and "endearing."
The collaboration between Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone in Fighter has been a significant draw for audiences. Their performances, coupled with the film's action-packed narrative and portrayal of Indian Air Force Pilots, have contributed to its initial success. However, as Fighter navigates through its fourth week, it faces the challenge of sustaining audience interest and box office performance amidst declining weekday collections.
