Fawad Khan's Bollywood Comeback Sparks Controversy Among Pakistani Fans
Fawad Khan is reportedly making a return to Bollywood. This follows the lifting of a ban on Pakistani artists after the 2016 Uri attack. According to recent reports, he will star alongside Ridhi Dogra in an upcoming film. However, this decision has sparked criticism from his Pakistani fans, who have expressed their disapproval of his choice to work on an Indian project.
News about Fawad's Bollywood comeback was shared by a well-known Pakistani magazine. The publication stated, "#DivaReports: It is being said that while the project is still in its early stages, heartthrob Fawad Khan is preparing to make his Bollywood comeback in a rom-com opposite Indian actress Ridhi Dogra." This announcement was accompanied by photos of Fawad and Ridhi.

The news prompted numerous reactions online. One comment read, "Death is better than such wealth who take away your dignity and respect. Don't go there. Majority public of India hate Pakistani actors etc." Another user expressed disdain, stating, "We already won't interest wht fawad khan work with whom actually we hate and still Boycott fawad when he run for bazrakh dozakh." A further comment criticised Fawad's admiration for Bollywood stars, saying, "Hum Pakistan waly isy hero tou door ki baat ha actor hi nahe manty jo Bollywood walon Ka fan ha ???? ek film mein role Kia dy dia Bollywood ny apni okat sy bahir hogya... Khud KO shahrukh khan amir khan sy compare krny lag gaya ha." Another remarked, "Fawad is making fun of himself and dying to work in Bollywood."
The romantic comedy featuring Fawad and Ridhi as lead characters has completed its paperwork. Filming is set to begin by the end of this year. The movie is expected to hit theatres either at the end of 2025 or early 2026.
