Fateh Box Office Collection Day 2: Sonu Sood’s Action Film Nears Rs 5 Crores Amid Mixed Reviews
Sonu Sood's directorial debut, Fateh, has generated buzz with its action-packed storyline. The film features Sonu as a former special operations officer tackling a cybercrime syndicate. This narrative twist explores his struggle with a dark past while facing modern threats. Despite the engaging plot and an impressive trailer, Fateh's box office performance has been lukewarm, receiving mixed reviews from audiences and critics.
Fateh showcases an ensemble cast including Jacqueline Fernandez, Vijay Raaz, Naseeruddin Shah, and Dibyendu Bhattacharya. Each actor brings unique talents to the film, enhancing the cinematic experience. Sonu Sood not only directed but also wrote and produced the movie, highlighting his versatility in the industry. This project marks his first collaboration with Jacqueline Fernandez, whose on-screen chemistry with Sonu has captivated audiences.

According to Sacnilk, Fateh collected Rs 2 crores on its second day at the box office. The film had opened with Rs 2.4 crores on its first day. By the end of Saturday, Fateh's total earnings reached Rs 4.40 crores. Despite mixed reviews, it maintained a steady presence at the box office.
In the Hindi-speaking market, Fateh is competing closely with Game Changer, starring Ram Charan and Kiara Advani. Both films have received decent responses from audiences. On its second day, Fateh had an occupancy rate of 14.27%, while Game Changer's Hindi version saw around 16.50% occupancy.
The release of Fateh's trailer led to comparisons with Ranbir Kapoor's Animal. Addressing this, Sonu explained to India Today Digital that they hired 70-80 fighters for major action scenes. "The problem was, we hired around 70-80 fighters for about three major action sequences," he said. "In a single shot, we show 70 people getting killed by my character." Due to logistical challenges in replacing them quickly, they reused these fighters with masks for later scenes.
