The much-anticipated political drama, Emergency, is set to premiere in two weeks. Kangana Ranaut not only stars but also directs this film, which revisits a controversial chapter in Indian history. As 2025 marks the 50th anniversary of the 1975 Emergency, Kangana's portrayal of Indira Gandhi has captivated audiences. Her striking resemblance and accurate depiction of Gandhi's mannerisms and voice have been widely praised.

The latest trailer intensifies the political drama, showcasing the turbulent era of 1975. It highlights Indira Gandhi's infamous statement, "Indira is India." The film vividly portrays the political dynamics of that time, featuring Jayaprakash Narayan's protests by Anupam Kher and Shreyas Talpade as a young Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
