Emergency Box Office Collection Prediction: Kangana's Film Expected To Earn Half Of Baby John's Total

Kangana Ranaut's film, Emergency, has been a topic of discussion due to its portrayal of Indira Gandhi. Kangana not only stars in the movie but also takes on the roles of director, writer, and co-producer. The film seeks to depict the intricate period of India's emergency, making it one of the year's most awaited releases.

The casting for Emergency has received praise for its selection of experienced actors. Anupam Kher plays Jayaprakash Narayan, Milind Soman portrays Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw, and Shreyas Talpade takes on the role of Atal Bihari Vajpayee. The ensemble is further enriched by Vishak Nair, Mahima Chaudhry, and Satish Kaushik, promising a captivating blend of talent and storytelling depth.

Despite an initial steady performance at the box office, Emergency faced challenges in its second week. This has led to discussions about its overall earnings potential. Business trade analyst Rohit Jaiswal predicts that the film might achieve a lifetime box office collection of Rs 20 crores.

If these predictions hold true, Emergency will earn about half of what Varun Dhawan's Baby John collected during its theatrical run. Baby John reportedly amassed Rs 39.74 crores at the box office.

Emergency has encountered controversy as the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) called for a ban on its release in Punjab. They expressed concerns about potential unrest within the Sikh community. SGPC president Harjinder Singh Dhami addressed this issue with Punjab's chief minister Bhagwant Mann.

Kangana responded strongly to these developments, stating: "This is complete harassment of art and the artist, from Punjab many cities are reporting that these people are not allowing Emergency to be screened. I have utmost respect for all religions and after studying and growing up in Chandigarh I have closely observed and followed Sikh religion. This is a complete lie and propaganda to tarnish my image and harm my film #Emergency".
