Emergency Box Office Collection Day 6 Prediction: Kangana's Film Set To Surpass Rs 13 Crores
Anticipation has surrounded Kangana Ranaut's film "Emergency" since its announcement. This historical drama, directed and co-produced by Kangana, explores the life of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi during India's emergency period. The film aims to capture a pivotal moment in history, with Kangana portraying Indira Gandhi's character.
The trailer release last year ignited discussions and controversy, raising questions about its box office success due to its sensitive topic. Despite the intriguing storyline and Kangana's involvement, the film has struggled to attract audiences a week after its release. Alongside Kangana, Anupam Kher plays Jayaprakash Narayan, Milind Soman portrays Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw, and Shreyas Talpade takes on Atal Bihari Vajpayee's role. Vishak Nair, Mahima Chaudhry, and Satish Kaushik also feature in the movie.

On its first Monday (day 5), "Emergency" earned Rs 1.05 crores, according to Sacnilk. The following day saw a slight increase with Rs 1.07 crores collected on Tuesday (day 5). This brought the total earnings to Rs 12.47 crores.
The film is expected to maintain steady earnings at the box office. Predictions suggest it will earn around Rs 1 crore today (day 6/first Wednesday), pushing total collections past Rs 13 crores.
Controversy continues as the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) called for a ban in Punjab, fearing it might upset the Sikh community. SGPC president Harjinder Singh Dhami wrote to Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann about this concern. Kangana responded by saying, "This is complete harassment of art and the artist... I have utmost respect for all religions... This is a complete lie and propaganda to tarnish my image and harm my film #Emergency."
