Emergency Box Office Collection Day 4 Prediction: Kangana Ranaut's Film Expected To See Significant Decline
The film "Emergency," directed and co-produced by Kangana Ranaut, has finally been released. This historical drama, starring Kangana as former Indian Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, explores the tumultuous period of the Indian emergency. Since its trailer release last year, the film has sparked significant interest and debate among cinema enthusiasts.
In addition to Kangana's portrayal of Indira Gandhi, Anupam Kher plays Jayaprakash Narayan, while Shreyas Talpade depicts Atal Bihari Vajpayee. Milind Soman takes on the role of Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw. The cast also includes Vishak Nair, Mahima Chaudhry, and Satish Kaushik in key roles that enhance the narrative. Despite mixed reviews, "Emergency" had a decent opening weekend at the box office.

On its first Saturday (day 3), "Emergency" earned Rs 3.6 crores. The following day saw an increase in revenue. According to Sacnilk, the film collected Rs 4.35 crores on its first Sunday with an 18.96% footfall, bringing total earnings to Rs 10.45 crores.
Based on current trends, "Emergency" is expected to experience a decline in earnings today (day 4/first Monday). The film is predicted to earn between Rs 2-3 crores, approaching a total of Rs 13 crores at the box office.
The movie faces controversy as the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) calls for a ban in Punjab due to potential unrest among Sikhs. SGPC president Harjinder Singh Dhami wrote to Punjab's chief minister Bhagwant Mann about this issue. Kangana responded by saying, "This is complete harassment of art and the artist... I have utmost respect for all religions... This is a complete lie and propaganda to tarnish my image and harm my film #Emergency".
