Despite not being officially on social media, Saif Ali Khan has a significant fan following. Numerous fan pages across platforms celebrate him. Recently, the Adipurush actor admitted in an interview that he has a 'secret' Instagram account. Yes, you read that correctly!
On World Social Media Day (June 30), Saif spoke to HT about his social media presence. The 53-year-old actor shared, "I do have the Instagram app, and a secret account, too. I browse sometimes but don't enjoy it much. And every time I browse it for a little while, I keep promising to delete it and I end up not deleting it."
Saif revealed that presenting a certain image online or sharing content doesn't come naturally to him. This instinctive reaction led him to stay away from social media.
"I don't want to get stuck in a position where I have to post other people's things. I really enjoy the fact that nobody is really interested in asking me to promote something because they know that I'm not on social media. So, I get a lot of peace and quiet," he continued.
He added, "It (Instagram) can be distracting and absorbing, and addictive as well."
For those unaware, Kareena's cousin Ranbir Kapoor also uses Instagram under a fake account.
The actor enjoys browsing occasionally but finds it more of a distraction than an enjoyment. He often contemplates deleting his account but never follows through.
This approach allows Saif to maintain peace and avoid the pressures of promoting content online.
