Diljit Dosanjh Criticises Online Trolls Over Punjab Spelling And Conspiracy Claims
Punjabi singer Diljit Dosanjh recently addressed online critics who targeted him for a tweet where he misspelled Punjab and omitted the Indian flag. The 40-year-old artist dismissed these accusations as conspiracies, calling his detractors "vehley" or idle. He pointed out that similar issues had occurred in a Bengaluru tweet, emphasizing that whether it's spelled Punjab or Panjab, it remains the same.
Dosanjh expressed frustration over people using foreign languages to fuel conspiracy theories. He stated, "Panj Aab - 5 Rivers Hats off to those who are using foreigners' language to push conspiracy theories." He vowed to write Panjab in Punjabi, specifically in Gurumukhi, in future posts. Despite the criticism, he remained defiant, suggesting that his critics might have been tasked with creating controversies around him.

In his response, Dosanjh questioned how many times he needed to prove his love for India. He urged his critics to come up with something new instead of repeating old accusations. "How many times do we have to prove that we love India? Do something new or have you been given a task to create conspiracies around me? #Vehley," he added.
The singer also shared screenshots of previous posts. One image showed "Tomorrow CHANDIGARH PANJAB" with an Indian flag, while another tweet lacked the flag. These images were meant to highlight the inconsistency in the accusations against him.
Currently, Dosanjh is on his Dil-Luminati India Tour, which started on October 26 in New Delhi and will end on December 29 in Guwahati. His next performance is scheduled for December 19 in Mumbai. The tour has been a significant event for his fans across India.
Despite facing online criticism, Diljit Dosanjh continues to engage with his audience through music and performances. His commitment to expressing himself authentically remains unwavering as he navigates both support and opposition from the public.
