Diljit Dosanjh Refutes Claims Of Blocking AP Dhillon On Social Media Amidst Ongoing Tour
Punjabi music sensation Diljit Dosanjh has addressed claims made by fellow artist AP Dhillon, who alleged that Dosanjh blocked him on social media. Dosanjh clarified that while he might have disagreements with the government, he harbours no issues with other artists. This statement follows Dhillon's request during a Chandigarh concert for Dosanjh to unblock him, referencing a previous "best of luck" message from Dosanjh.
Dosanjh, known for hits like "GOAT" and "5 Taara," took to Instagram Stories to share a screenshot of Dhillon's profile, asserting he never blocked him. He stated, "I never blocked you. My issues can be with the government but not with artists." Although Dosanjh hasn't blocked Dhillon, he also doesn't follow him on Instagram. At his Indore concert on December 8, Dosanjh extended well wishes to both Dhillon and Punjabi singer Karan Aujla.

AP Dhillon responded to Dosanjh's gesture by saying: "I just want to say one small thing, brother. First unblock me on Instagram and then talk to me. I don't want to talk about what marketing is happening but first unblock me. I've been working for three years. Have you ever seen me in any controversy?" Known for tracks like "Brown Munde," "Insane," and "Summer High," Dhillon is currently touring India with his "The Brownprint" tour.
The Canadian singer gained popularity after his song went viral in 2020. Meanwhile, Dosanjh is set to perform in Guwahati on December 29 as part of his "Dil-Luminati India Tour," marking the tour's final performance. Throughout his tour, Dosanjh has criticised state governments for instructing him not to sing about alcohol, drugs, and violence at concerts.
During one of his shows, Dosanjh expressed willingness to pledge against creating such songs if states declared themselves dry states. His stance highlights ongoing tensions between artistic expression and governmental directives in India.
As both artists continue their respective tours, fans eagerly anticipate more music and performances from these prominent figures in the Punjabi music scene.
