Devara Box Office Collection Day 5: Jr NTR's Film Surpasses Rs 26 Crores Amid Steady Growth
Jr NTR's fans worldwide are thrilled as he returns to the big screen after a two-year hiatus. Following the success of RRR in 2022, Jr NTR is now in the spotlight with his latest film, Devara (Devara Part 1), an action drama directed by Koratala Siva. The movie stars Saif Ali Khan and Janhvi Kapoor alongside Jr NTR and has been eagerly awaited this year.
Devara showcases Jr NTR in a dual role, featuring Shruti Marathe, Prakash Raj, Srikanth, Shine Tom Chacko, Narain, Kalaiyarasan, and Murali Sharma in significant roles. This film marks Janhvi and Saif's debut collaboration with Jr NTR in the Telugu industry. Janhvi's on-screen chemistry with Jr NTR has also drawn attention as she portrays his love interest.

In India, Devara experienced a slight 5% increase in total collections across all languages. After a strong opening weekend, the film saw a 68% drop on its first Monday, earning Rs 12.75 crores. However, according to Sacnilk, it collected Rs 13.4 crores on the first Tuesday across all languages, bringing its total earnings to Rs 186.75 crores.
Meanwhile, during the trailer launch of Devara Part 1, Saif shared his experience working with Jr NTR: "When I saw him shooting on set, he seems to grow in stature and becomes a larger-than-life person in front of the camera, which is a very great star quality to have. And after the cut, he goes back to being a normal and fun person. It has been so nice working with him."
Devara opened to positive reviews and had a decent start in Hindi markets with Rs 7.5 crores on its first day. Although there was an increase over the weekend, numbers dropped significantly on Monday but have since stabilized. According to Sacnilk reports, Devara earned Rs 4 crores on day four (first Monday) and Rs 4.25 crores on day five (first Tuesday), reaching a total of Rs 26.25 crores.
The film's success is attributed not only to Jr NTR's performance but also to its ensemble cast and engaging storyline. As audiences continue to flock to theatres for Devara Part 1, it remains one of this year's most talked-about releases.
