Devara Box Office Collection Day 2: Jr NTR’s Film Trails Behind Prabhas’ Kalki 2898 AD

Devara, an action drama directed by Koratal Siva, has hit the screens, marking a significant release this September. The film stars Jr NTR, Janhvi Kapoor, and Saif Ali Khan in leading roles. It also features Shruti Marathe, Prakash Raj, Srikanth, Shine Tom Chacko, Narain, Kalaiyarasan, and Murali Sharma in important roles. This movie has been one of the most anticipated releases of the year.

Janhvi Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan make their Telugu industry debut with Devara. It's also their first project with Jr NTR. The story follows Devara (played by Jr NTR), a brave man devoted to his people. His brother Bhaira (played by Saif Ali Khan) often plots against him. The film opened to positive reviews from audiences due to its engaging storyline.

In the Hindi market, Devara had a promising start at the box office. On its opening day, it earned Rs 7.5 crores. By the second day (first Saturday), collections rose to Rs 9 crores. This brought the total earnings to Rs 16.5 crores in just two days.

Devara has been compared to Kalki 2898 AD, starring Prabhas and Deepika Padukone. Despite fans' hopes that Devara might surpass it, Jr NTR's film is trailing behind. While Devara earned Rs 9 crores on its first Saturday, Kalki 2898 AD collected Rs 26 crores on the same day.

Jr NTR praised Janhvi Kapoor for her dedication during their collaboration on Devara. He remarked on her unpredictability and talent: "There was so much of unpredictability in her. The first shot, she came and she gave. She just killed it. With so much pressure, it was a delight seeing her open up on camera," he shared in an interview.
