Crew Inches Towards £50Cr As Ticket Offers Spur Box Office Collections

The Bollywood landscape is witnessing the steady ascent of the heist-comedy Crew, featuring an ensemble cast of Tabu, Kareena Kapoor Khan, and Kriti Sanon. Entering its second weekend, the film shows promising box office figures, with expectations to surpass the Rs 50-crore mark by its second Sunday. Released on 29th March 2024, Crew has capitalized on promotional offers such as buy one get one on tickets to maintain its momentum in cinemas.

In its domestic box office journey, Crew has garnered a commendable total of Rs 43.75 crores within its first week. The film's performance continued to be robust into its second Friday, with early estimates by Sacnilk suggesting a collection of approximately Rs 3.60 crores, elevating the total to Rs 47.35 crores over eight days. The movie experienced a Hindi occupancy rate of 14.30% on Friday (5th April), indicating sustained interest among audiences.

Crew Nears £50Cr with Ticket Boost

Globally, Crew has made a significant impact as well, amassing Rs 87.38 crores worldwide in just its first week. This achievement underscores the film's appeal beyond domestic markets.

However, Crew is poised to encounter stiff competition in the coming week with the release of two major Bollywood productions on Eid 2024. Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff's action-packed Bade Miyan Chote Miyan alongside Ajay Devgn's eagerly awaited biographical sports drama Maidaan are expected to vie for screen space, potentially affecting Crew's theatrical run.

Under the direction of Rajesh A Krishnan, known for his work on Lootcase, Crew boasts a star-studded cast that brings together the talents of Tabu, Kareena Kapoor Khan, and Kriti Sanon in leading roles. The film also features notable appearances by Punjabi singer-actor Diljit Dosanjh and comedy stalwart Kapil Sharma.

The production sees a collaboration between Anil Kapoor-Rhea Kapoor's Anil Kapoor Film & Communication Network Pvt. Ltd. and Ektaa R. Kapoor's Balaji Telefilms, marking another venture that combines the creative forces of these established entities in Bollywood.

The narrative and performances in Crew have been pivotal in drawing audiences to theaters, showcasing the dynamic chemistry among its leads and supporting cast. As the film navigates through its theatrical run, it remains to be seen how it will fare against upcoming releases and whether it will continue to captivate moviegoers with its unique blend of comedy and heist elements.
