Crew Movie's Box Office Collection Hits Low On Day 11 With Tabu, Kareena, And Kriti

The Bollywood landscape witnessed a unique blend of talent and narrative with the release of "Crew", a heist-comedy that brought together an ensemble cast including Tabu, Kareena Kapoor Khan, and Kriti Sanon. Directed by Rajesh A Krishnan, the film also stars Diljit Dosanjh and Kapil Sharma in significant roles. Despite its promising start and a compelling storyline, "Crew" saw a notable decline in its box office performance by its 11th day.

Upon its release, "Crew" faced stiff competition from international blockbuster "Godzilla x Kong", yet it managed to carve out a niche for itself among audiences. The film's initial week showed promising returns with a collection of Rs 43.75 crores at the domestic box office. However, the second Monday marked a downturn in its fortunes as earnings plummeted to just above Rs 1 crore. This dip brought the film's estimated total domestic earnings to around Rs 60 crores.

Crew's Day 11 Box Office Low

Despite the domestic box office challenges, "Crew" showcased impressive performance on the international front. Within a span of 10 days, the film amassed Rs 112.98 crores globally, highlighting its appeal beyond Indian shores. This international acclaim is particularly significant for Kareena Kapoor Khan, who shared her enthusiasm and pride over being part of such a project.

Kareena Kapoor Khan, affectionately known as Bebo, reflected on her experience with "Crew" and another women-centric film. She emphasized the joy and pride she feels in participating in projects that focus on themes of friendship, love, and fun through the lens of female protagonists. According to her, witnessing women take the lead in genres traditionally dominated by male characters, such as road trips or heist movies, and receiving worldwide recognition is a refreshing change.

The journey of "Crew" at the box office serves as an interesting case study in contemporary Bollywood cinema. It underscores the unpredictable nature of film success and highlights the growing acceptance and celebration of women-led narratives in genres that have not traditionally been their stronghold. As "Crew" continues to navigate through its theatrical run, it stands as a testament to the evolving landscape of Indian cinema where stories of friendship, love, and adventure transcend gender boundaries.
