Crew Surpasses TBMAUJ In Day 4 Box Office Earnings Despite Drop

Rajesh Krishnan's latest directorial venture, Crew, has been the talk of the town for its unique concept of a flying heist and its star-studded cast featuring Kareena Kapoor Khan, Tabu, Kriti Sanon, Kapil Sharma, and Diljit Dosanjh. The film, which has been eagerly anticipated by audiences, opened to positive reviews and has been performing well at the box office.

Since its release, Crew has seen a successful run, becoming the third highest opener for Kriti Sanon post-pandemic. The movie kicked off with an opening day collection of Rs 9.25 crores and went on to gather Rs 29.5 crores over the opening weekend. The first Monday saw Crew experiencing a 57% drop in collections, bringing in Rs 4.5 crores. This dip brought the total collections to Rs 34 crores. However, it still managed to outperform Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon's Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya, which had earned Rs 3.65 crores on its first Monday. This achievement is notable given that Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya was the second highest opener of 2024.

Besides facing competition from Bollywood releases, Crew is also contending with Hollywood's Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire. The coming days will reveal whether Crew can maintain its momentum at the box office amidst stiff competition.

Kareena Kapoor Khan shared her excitement about Crew, describing it as a "cool space of comedy, heist and typical commercial masala film" with three women leading the narrative. She expressed her belief that after her performances in Laal Singh Chadda and Jaane Jaan, this film would be a delightful watch for her fans who are eager to see her in a role they love.
