Cine Talkies 2024: Sunil Barve And Industry Leaders Discuss Cultural Connections In Indian Cinema

The Cine Talkies 2024 press conference occurred on 9th December at the NSE Building Auditorium in BKC. The event was attended by notable industry figures, including Shri Sunil Barve, Convenor of Cine Talkies, Shri Vipul Amrutlal Shah, a renowned producer and patron of the event, and Smt. Bharati Pradhan, a senior film critic and patron. Arun Shekhar, Vice President of Sanskar Bharti Kokan Prant, welcomed guests and media while providing an overview of the event.

Shri Sunil Barve elaborated on the theme of Cine Talkies 2024, which aims to reconnect Bharatiya Cinema with its cultural roots. He stressed that this initiative is not solely for entertainment but also serves as a medium for social awareness and education. This year's edition boasts esteemed patrons such as Shri Pravin Tarde, Smt. Khushu Sundar, Shri Vipul Amrutlal Shah, Shri Subhash Ghai, Shri G. Suresh Kumar, and Smt. Bharati Pradhan. The inauguration will occur on 13th December at 5:30 pm with Shri Ashish Chauhan, MD & CEO of NSE, gracing the occasion.

Smt. Bharati Pradhan shared her extensive five-decade experience in the film industry. She noted how terms like "Bollywood" have created unnecessary divisions between regional cinemas. She expressed her support for breaking these barriers and praised Sanskar Bharti's efforts to unite various aspects of Indian cinema.

The event will feature distinguished speakers such as Apoorv Singh Karki, Pranitha Subhash, Supriya Yarlagada, Madhur Bhandarkar, Mrinal Dev Kulkarni, K.V. Srilekha Nair, Shibashish Sarkar, Venkat K Narayan, Arfi Lamba, Abhishek Sharma, Niren Bhatt, Swapnil Joshi, Padmashree Nila Madhab Panda, Bharathi Pradhan, Pankaj Shukla, K.S. Srinivasan, Abhijit Deshpande, Manish Saini among others.
