Bollywood's Chunky Pandey Shares His Unusual Honeymoon Destination: Bangladesh
Bangladesh has recently been in the spotlight following Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's resignation after an army ultimatum. This political upheaval has drawn attention to the country, which is often overlooked by Indian travellers. Interestingly, a Bollywood actor once had a memorable honeymoon there, and their daughter, now a Gen Z star, was conceived during that trip. Can you guess who it is?
It is none other than Chunky Pandey and his wife Bhavana Pandey. In an interview with Quint, Chunky shared why he is considered a superstar in Bangladesh. When his career began to decline in the 90s, he ventured to Bangladesh and unexpectedly became a major star there, eventually acting in several Bengali films.

Chunky also disclosed that he spent his honeymoon in Bangladesh and that Ananya is their "honeymoon baby." He said, "We got married in January 1998 and Ananya was born in October 1998."
Bhavana Pandey also spoke to SpotboyE about how people used to calculate the timeline of her wedding and Ananya's birth. She mentioned, "We were married in January 1998, and she was born in October. People were actually calculating if I conceived her before or after marriage. We still had to discover each other and then we had this beautiful baby. She has been with us from our first anniversary."
Chunky Pandey and Bhavana have two daughters: Ananya Panday and Rysa Panday. While Ananya made her Bollywood debut with "Student of The Year," Rysa has not yet decided on entering the film industry.
Ananya will next be seen in "CTRL," where she portrays a content creator in Vikramaditya Motwane's film.
This intriguing connection between Bollywood and Bangladesh adds another layer to the rich tapestry of cultural exchanges between neighbouring countries.
