Chetan Swaroop Tirdia To Debut In Theatre With Randeep Hooda

From the historic city of Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh, Chetanswaroop Tirdia has emerged as a promising talent in the Indian acting and theatre scene. With a foundation laid at the Madhya Pradesh School of Drama (MPSD), where he graduated in 2017, Tirdia embarked on his artistic journey at the young age of 20. His initial fascination with theatre gradually expanded into a keen interest in film acting, propelling him towards Mumbai, the bustling epicenter of India's film industry.

Chetan's entry into the mainstream came in 2020 with a television commercial for Gpay, marking his debut in commercials. This was soon followed by roles in significant projects like "Shiksha Mandal" by Syed Ahmed Afzal and the Netflix anthology series "Feels like Ishq" in 2021. His involvement in an independent project directed by Mazhar Kamran further showcased his adaptability and commitment to his craft.

In a revealing conversation, Tirdia shared his experience working on the biographical film "Swatantrya Veer Savarkar," directed and starred in by Randeep Hooda. He recounted how, in September 2022, he received a call from Parag Mehta's team inviting him to audition for the film. After a successful audition and a meeting at Randeep Hooda's house for narration, Tirdia was cast to portray Narayan Damodar Savarkar. Despite the challenges of adapting to different ages of the character, from 17 to early 60s, and adjusting his body weight for authenticity, Tirdia found Randeep Hooda's instinctive direction and method acting approach to be highly beneficial.

This role as Narayan Damodar Savarkar in "Swatantrya Veer Savarkar" not only highlights Tirdia's acting skills but also his versatility in embodying diverse characters.
