Kareena Kapoor's The Buckingham Murders Faces Box Office Hurdles Against Tumbbad

The Buckingham Murders Box Office Collection Prediction Day 3: Kareena Kapoor Khan's film, The Buckingham Murders, experienced a rise in box office numbers after a slow start. Directed by Hansal Mehta, this investigative drama also marks Kareena's debut as a producer. She co-produced the movie with Ektaa R. Kapoor's Balaji Motion Pictures.

The Buckingham Murders hit cinemas on 13th September 2024 amid moderate anticipation. The story follows Jass, a cop and mother played by Kareena, who is mourning her son's death. She relocates to a new town where she investigates a child's disappearance.

Starring Kareena Kapoor Khan, The Buckingham Murders received mixed reviews from both audiences and critics. The film had an underwhelming opening day at the box office, earning Rs 1.62 crores.

According to the makers, the film saw a surprising 90% increase in earnings on its second day. It reportedly made around Rs 2.41 crores on Saturday, bringing its total collection to Rs 4.03 crores (nett India) over two days.

Despite the increase in earnings, Kareena Kapoor's The Buckingham Murders has not performed impressively overall at the box office. Given the current buzz, it is expected to continue struggling and may earn between Rs 2.5-3 crores today (first Sunday).

Sacnilk reports that by 4 PM today (day 3), the movie has managed to collect around Rs 63 lakhs.

Will The Buckingham Murders Surpass Tumbbad Re-Release Record On Opening Weekend?

Meanwhile, Sohum Shah's horror-drama 'Tumbbad' is performing well at the box office following its re-release on the same day. It earned Rs 1.65 crores on its re-release opening day and Rs 2.65 crores on Saturday. Tumbbad's total nett collection for two days stands at Rs 4.30 crores.

Given its strong buzz, Tumbbad is expected to continue doing well at the box office today as well.
