Diabetic Man Criticises Zomato CEO Over Inadequate Facilities At Bryan Adams Mumbai Concert
Bryan Adams, known for hits like 'Summer Of 69' and 'Everything I Do', recently performed in Mumbai as part of his 'So Happy It Hurts Tour 2024'. The concert, however, has gained attention online for unfortunate reasons. A local entrepreneur, Sheldon Aranjo, who attended the event, shared a distressing experience that has sparked controversy.
During the concert at Mumbai's Nesco on 13th December 2024, Sheldon Aranjo faced an embarrassing situation. As a diabetic, he struggled with inadequate restroom facilities, leading to an incident where he urinated in his pants. This prompted him to criticise Zomato CEO Deepinder Goyal and EVA Global Events for poor management.

Sheldon Aranjo, with over two decades in media and entertainment, expressed his ordeal on LinkedIn. In his post, he addressed Deepinder Goyal and EVA Global Events directly. He described how the lack of sufficient restrooms at the Bryan Adams concert led to his unfortunate incident.
In his open letter, Sheldon stated, "here's an open letter to Deepinder Goyal and the head of EVA Global Events." He added details about the long queues and inadequate facilities that contributed to his predicament.
Sheldon explained that despite having a Gold ticket, he couldn't access certain restrooms due to long lines. He attempted to find alternative solutions but ended up soiling himself before reaching a suitable spot. His post included a picture as evidence of the incident.
He further mentioned being diabetic with continence issues and criticised the organisers for providing only about three restrooms per thousand attendees. Sheldon questioned if this was EVA Global Events' first major concert.
Sheldon noted other attendees also complained about mismanagement during the event. Issues included lengthy queues at restrooms and food stalls and unnecessary waits for cash loading onto event invites despite digital payment options being available.
"Thankfully hashtag#BryanAdams managed to save what would have become a rather forgetful evening!" Sheldon wrote. He urged organisers to improve their management before hosting international artists again.
The incident has highlighted concerns over event management standards in India. It serves as a reminder for organisers to ensure adequate facilities are available for all attendees at large events.
