The initial advance booking figures for both 'Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha' and 'Ulajh' have been disappointing. Following his film 'Maidaan', Ajay Devgn faces another box office battle with this new release.

According to Bollywood Hungama, both movies are expected to have poor openings at the box office tomorrow. The advance booking for 'Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha' began yesterday. As per Sacnilk's latest report, the Ajay-Tabu romantic drama has sold approximately 7,907 tickets so far, generating around Rs 35.4 lakhs (including block seats) for its opening day.
Directed by Neeraj Pandey, 'Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha' features Ajay Devgn and Tabu as lovers who part ways only to reunite 23 years later under different circumstances. Shantanu Maheshwari and Saiee Manjrekar portray the younger versions of Ajay and Tabu, while Jimmy Shergill plays Tabu's husband.
On the other hand, Bollywood Hungama reports that Janhvi Kapoor's 'Ulajh' has sold fewer than 750 tickets across the top three national chains. For context, advance bookings for 'Ulajh' commenced this morning (August 1).
About Ulajh
'Ulajh', directed by Sudhanshu Saria, stars Roshan Mathew, Gulshan Devaiah, Adil Hussain, and Meiyang Chang among others. The film revolves around a young IFS officer from a patriotic family who finds herself entangled in a perilous personal conspiracy while stationed far from home at a crucial career post.
The lacklustre advance booking numbers suggest that both films might struggle initially at the box office despite their star-studded casts. Fans of both movies will be keenly watching how they perform once they hit theatres tomorrow.
