Bohurupi Box Office Collection Day 21: Abir Chatterjee's Film Surpasses Rs 10 Crores In Three Weeks

The Bengali film 'Bohurupi', featuring Abir Chatterjee and Shiboprasad Mukherjee, has entered its fourth week in cinemas as of October 29. Directed by Nandita Roy and Shiboprasad Mukherjee, the movie was released during Durga Puja on October 8, coinciding with the release of Dev-Srijit Mukherji's 'Tekka'. The film is inspired by real events and showcases a gripping story.

In 'Bohurupi', Ritabhari Chakraborty, Koushani Mukherjee, and Manasi Sinha also play significant roles. The action-drama revolves around a confrontation between an honest police officer, portrayed by Abir Chatterjee, and an underdog character played by Shiboprasad Mukherjee. This engaging narrative has captivated audiences across Bengal.

'Bohurupi', produced by Windows Production, received positive reviews from both critics and audiences. Despite being a low-budget film, it made a significant impact at the Bengali box office with its compelling storyline and strong performances. The film's success is evident in its impressive earnings.

According to Sacnilk, 'Bohurupi' began its box office journey with Rs 0.35 crore. Thanks to favourable word-of-mouth, it collected Rs 4.2 crore in the first week. In the second week, it earned Rs 2.28 crore, followed by Rs 2.29 crore in the third week. By the end of day 21, the film had accumulated a total nett collection of Rs 9.28 crore.

The gross collection within India now stands at approximately Rs 10.81 crore over two weeks as per Sacnilk's latest report.

'Bohurupi' was produced on a modest budget of Rs 4 crore but has become a major box office success story. It has earned more than twice its production cost, making it the highest-grossing Bengali film of 2024 so far.

This remarkable performance highlights the film's widespread appeal and solidifies its position as a blockbuster hit in Bengali cinema this year.
