Bohurupi (Bengali) Box Office Collection Day 15: Abir Chatterjee's Film Doubles Its Budget In Just Two Weeks

The regional film 'Bohurupi' (Bengali) has become a significant success. Directed by Nandita Roy and Shiboprasad Mukherjee, this period chase drama features a talented cast including Abir Chatterjee, Shiboprasad, Ritabhari Chakraborty, and Koushani Mukherjee. Rajat Ganguly and Reshmi Sen also play important roles in the film.

Released on October 8, 2024, during Durga Puja, 'Bohurupi' is inspired by real events. The Windows Production venture has captivated audiences with its thrilling narrative, establishing itself as a major hit in Bengali cinema.

'Bohurupi', starring Abir Chatterjee and Shiboprasad Mukherjee, received excellent reviews from both viewers and critics. The film had an impressive start with Rs 0.35 crore at the box office and showed significant growth over its first weekend.

According to Sacnilk, this small-budget movie earned around Rs 4.2 crore in its first week and Rs 2.8 crore in the second week. On the third Tuesday, it collected approximately Rs 28 lakhs, bringing its total nett earnings to Rs 7.28 crore over 15 days. The gross collection in India stands at about Rs 8.56 crore.

The film's budget was Rs 4 crore, and it has already more than doubled that amount within two weeks of release.

At the box office, 'Bohurupi' faced competition from Dev's 'Tekka'. However, 'Bohurupi' outperformed 'Tekka' significantly. Sacnilk reports that Dev's film earned approximately Rs 3.22 crore (nett) and Rs 3.94 crore (gross) over the same period of 15 days.
