Binodiini Box Office Collection Day 4: Did Rukmini Maitra's Biographical Drama Meet Expectations?

Rukmini Maitra, known for her role as a tough cop in 'Tekka', has captivated audiences again. This time, she stars as 'Binodini' in the Bengali biographical drama 'Binodiini - Ekti Natir Upakhyan'. Directed by newcomer Ram Kamal Mukherjee, the film explores Binodini Dasi's remarkable transformation from courtesan to pioneering female actor in Bengali theatre.

The film, produced by Dev under Dev Entertainment Ventures, premiered on 23rd January 2025. Its release coincided with Subhash Jayanti, a holiday in West Bengal. It faced competition from Srijit Mukherji's 'Shotyi Bole Shotyi Kichhu Nei'.

On Saturday (day 3), the movie collected around Rs 8 lakhs. Sunday, which was Republic Day, saw an increase to Rs 12 lakhs. The total estimated nett box office collection now stands at Rs 31 lakhs across Bengal.
