Bhuvan Bam Addresses YouTubers Can't Be Actors Debate In Taaza Khabar Interview

Bhuvan Bam, a renowned YouTuber, has successfully transitioned into acting with his OTT series, Taaza Khabar. The second season of the series premiered on Disney+ Hotstar recently and was met with an enthusiastic response. Bhuvan initially gained fame through his humorous YouTube videos and later launched a chat show called Titu Talks, featuring celebrities like Shah Rukh Khan and SS Rajamouli.

Despite the success of YouTubers like Bhuvan Bam, Kusha Kapila, and Prajakta Koli in acting, there remains a debate on social media about whether YouTubers can truly be actors. Filmibeat discussed this topic with Bhuvan during a recent interaction.

Bhuvan Bam on YouTubers and Acting Debate

Addressing the debate on YouTubers transitioning to acting, Bhuvan stated, "We need to change that. Their thinking is not wrong. How can you compare 100 years of cinema with 15 years of YouTube? You can't compare both, there's still time for us (YouTubers) to reach there. For us to get recognised as actors, it is a long journey."

He further elaborated on the challenges of acting in longer formats: "There's a lot of difference in short form and long form. In long format, it is not just 6 minutes that you have to be Vasant Gawde; for 60 days and 12 hours you need to be that character. There has to be a uniformity; that uniformity is acting, and that will come with time, and will be better. We can do it, but even they are not wrong. They are correct and they are saying with their experience," the actor added.

Bhuvan was asked if he anticipated such positive feedback for Taaza Khabar's second season. He expressed his initial doubts: "Season 1 was liked by people, but we had a doubt whether they will watch season 2 or not. Whoever has watched season 1 will come and watch season 2, but is season 2 that entertaining? Is it that engaging? Is season 2 better or equal to season 1? I had all these doubts and never thought that people will end up watching this and how."

Bhuvan's portrayal of Vasant Gawde has captivated audiences, leaving fans eagerly anticipating his future projects.
