Bhagam Bhag 2 Confirmed: Akshay Kumar And Cast Set To Begin Filming In Mid 2025

The much-loved comedy film Bhagam Bhag is making a comeback with its sequel, Bhagam Bhag 2, after 18 years. This news has thrilled fans who have cherished the original movie over the years, especially through online platforms.

Bhagam Bhag, featuring Akshay Kumar, Govinda, and Paresh Rawal, is one of Priyadarshan's iconic films. It holds a special place in Akshay Kumar's career alongside other hits like Hera Pheri and Welcome.

Sarita Ashwin Varde of Roaring River Productions has acquired the rights for the sequel from Shemaroo Entertainment. Sarita is also working on the script and will produce the film with Shemaroo.

When asked about the delay in making the sequel, Sarita explained, "Because a special film like Bhagam Bhag deserves a sequel that's just as much special; when the time was right, we decided to take the plunge."

Sarita has been involved in the film industry for a long time. She has supported her husband Ashwin Varde, who produced films like Boss, Mubarakan, Kabir Singh, OMG-2, and Khel Khel Mein.

Hiren Gada, CEO of Shemaroo Entertainment, expressed excitement about collaborating with a talented team to create a film that continues the legacy of its predecessor by bringing more laughter and entertainment.

The script for Bhagam Bhag 2 is nearing completion. The film is expected to start production in mid-2025. The makers promise it will be "madder, crazier and funnier," with more details to be announced soon.
