Bastar And Yodha Predicted To Have Strong Box Office Openings

Sidharth Malhotra's "Yodha" and Adah Sharma's "Bastar The Naxal Story" are poised for their cinematic debut on 15th March 2024. With their trailers already creating a stir among audiences, the question arises: will these films achieve success at the box office? In a recent interaction with Filmibeat, producer and film business expert Girish Johar shared his insights on the potential impact of these movies.

Johar highlighted the distinct appeal of both films, noting, "Bastar and Yodha cater to different audiences. Bastar is marketed as a realistic portrayal based on true incidents, aiming for a release across 1500-2000 screens. On the other hand, Yodha is presented as a fast-paced commercial action thriller, targeting over 3000 screens." He expressed optimism for a strong opening for both films if they live up to expectations.

Discussing potential box office figures, Johar mentioned, "The box office can be unpredictable, but I anticipate Yodha could open with Rs. 7-8 crore. With positive reception, figures could climb to Rs. 10-12 crore, while a less favorable response might see them drop to Rs. 5-7 crore." For Bastar, he expects an opening in the range of Rs. 2-4 crore, with performance heavily dependent on audience feedback.
