Bandish Bandits Season 2: Director Anand Tiwari Aims To Surprise Viewers With Arjun Rampal's Character Imroz

Bandish Bandits 2 Update: The beloved musical drama, Bandish Bandits, has made a triumphant return on Prime Video with its eagerly anticipated second season. Since its global premiere on December 13, it has been receiving enthusiastic reviews from both critics and audiences.

The continuation of Radhe and Tamanna's journey has captivated viewers with its engaging storyline, unexpected twists, and dynamic soundtrack. The performances by the returning cast have been praised, along with new members who add fresh elements to the series. Notably, Arjun Rampal's surprise cameo as Imroz Dehelvi has been a highlight.

Director Anand Tiwari discussed Rampal's role as a charismatic writer, explaining why he was the perfect choice for Imroz Dehelvi in this season. Tiwari aimed to challenge stereotypes about poets on screen. "We often picture writers and poets in kurta-pajamas, barefoot, carrying a bag. But they can be anything, come from anywhere-even a music school," he said.

Tiwari further elaborated on his vision for Imroz Dehelvi: "I wanted Imroz Dehelvi to surprise the audience, to challenge expectations and seeing Arjun Rampal as that poet definitely breaks the stereotype." He praised Rampal's qualities of depth and gravitas, which made him ideal for the role.

Anand Tiwari also highlighted the chemistry between Arjun Rampal and Divya Dutta as Imroz and Nandini. Their connection was described as understated yet magnetic. "What struck me was the chemistry they shared in Dhaakad-it was understated yet magnetic," Tiwari noted.

The director emphasised how their relationship is defined by unspoken emotions. Simple exchanges carry deep meaning, reflecting a mature bond. This subtlety was translated into their story in Bandish Bandits, making it authentic and moving.

Bandish Bandits is created by Amritpal Singh Bindra and Anand Tiwari, who also directed the series. It is produced by Leo Media Collective Private Limited and written by Tiwari alongside Atmika Didwania and Karan Singh Tyagi.
