Bade Miyan Chote Miyan Producers Accuse Director Ali Abbas Zafar Of Embezzlement In Police Complaint
Vashu and Jackky Bhagnani, producers of 'Bade Miyan Chote Miyan,' have filed a complaint against director Ali Abbas Zafar at the Bandra Police Station. They allege financial misconduct during the film's production. This move follows Zafar's own complaint to the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE), accusing the Bhagnanis of not paying him. The Bandra police are now preparing to question Zafar about the alleged misuse of subsidy funds from Abu Dhabi.
The production team at Pooja Entertainment released a statement detailing the police's plan to summon Ali Abbas Zafar for questioning. The complaint also accuses writer Himanshu Rao and Ekesh Ranadive of conspiring in fraud, theft, and embezzlement. The producers claim these individuals aimed to benefit financially through illicit means, allegedly using a shell company named Jolly Jumper Films LLC in Abu Dhabi to misappropriate funds.

Before this incident, FWICE confirmed receiving Ali Abbas Zafar's complaint regarding unpaid dues. This issue is part of a broader problem involving directors Tinu Desai and Vikas Bahl, who also reported non-payment for their films 'Mission Raniganj' and 'Ganpat.' Despite these films' poor box office results, FWICE insists that the Bhagnanis must settle all outstanding payments to those involved, asserting it as a rightful claim for their contributions.
FWICE's statement elaborated on unresolved payment issues, including specific complaints from Tinu Desai about 'Mission Raniganj' and from the technical team and vendors of 'Ganpat.' Additionally, there is a collective grievance from FSSAMU, representing daily wage workers, about unpaid wages. These issues highlight financial mismanagement overshadowing Pooja Entertainment's projects.
Amidst these allegations, industry observers are keenly watching how the Bhagnanis will respond to both accusations against them and their charges against Ali Abbas Zafar and his associates. This situation raises questions about financial practices within the industry and labor treatment. So far, neither Vashu nor Jackky Bhagnani have publicly addressed these accusations, leaving many speculating on potential outcomes of this legal drama.
