Baby John Box Office Collection Day 8 Prediction: Varun Dhawan's Film Faces Challenges As It Approaches Rs 35 Crores

Varun Dhawan is currently making headlines with his latest film, Baby John. Directed by Kalees, this action drama has captured attention since its release. The movie stars Keerthy Suresh, Jackie Shroff, Sanya Malhotra, and Wamiqa Gabbi. Notably, Baby John is the Bollywood adaptation of Thalapathy Vijay's 2016 film Theri, which originally featured Samantha in a lead role.

The chemistry between Varun and Keerthy and Jackie Shroff's portrayal of the antagonist have intrigued audiences. Keerthy Suresh's debut in Bollywood has also been noteworthy. Despite the buzz surrounding it, Baby John has not performed as expected at the box office and appears to be struggling to attract large audiences.

Baby John experienced a significant drop in earnings on its first Monday but showed improvement on New Year's Eve. According to Sacnilk, the film earned Rs 1.85 crores on its sixth day (first Tuesday) and Rs 2.15 crores on the seventh day (first Wednesday). This brought its total earnings to Rs 32.65 crores.

On its eighth day (second Wednesday), coinciding with New Year celebrations, Baby John is expected to maintain steady box office performance. Predictions suggest it will earn between Rs 1.5-2 crores today, bringing it closer to the Rs 35 crores mark.

In an interview with India Today, Varun discussed drawing inspiration from Theri for Baby John. He explained that director Atlee emphasized adapting rather than directly remaking the original film. "When Atlee came with this film, there was a reason behind it," Varun said. "He said that we had to change a lot of the geography of the film. We have to use it as an adaptation and not really a proper remake." He added that while some elements differ from Theri, it's more of an adaptation than a direct remake.
