Baby John Box Office Collection Prediction: Will Varun Dhawan's Film Reach Rs 40 Cr Before Game Changer Release?
Varun Dhawan's action-packed film 'Baby John' has not met expectations at the box office. Despite being highly anticipated, it has struggled to draw audiences. Released on 25th December 2024, the movie is a Hindi remake of the Tamil hit 'Theri' from 2016. Directed by Kalees, it was made with a hefty budget of Rs 160 crore but hasn't recovered even half of that amount yet.
The film, produced by Atlee and others, features a star-studded cast including Keerthy Suresh and Jackie Shroff. It entered its third week in theatres on January 8. 'Baby John' was Varun Dhawan's biggest opening in five years, earning Rs 11.25 crore on its first day. However, it couldn't sustain this momentum at the box office.

In its first week, 'Baby John' collected Rs 32.65 crore but saw a sharp decline in its second week with earnings of just Rs 6.5 lakh. According to Sacnilk, the film had its lowest single-day earnings on the third Wednesday, adding only Rs 20 lakh to its total. After 15 days, the movie's estimated nett collection stands at Rs 39.15 crore.
Week 1: ₹ 32.65 cr
Week 2: ₹ 6.5 lakhs
Day 15 (3rd Wednesday): ₹ 20 lakhs
Total - Rs 39.15 cr
The film's poor performance has led to multiple show cancellations in theatres. With Ram Charan-Kiara Advani's 'Game Changer' and Sonu Sood's 'Fateh' releasing soon, 'Baby John' will face even more competition for screen space.
Given the current trend, it's unlikely that 'Baby John' will see significant growth today (third Thursday). Predictions suggest it might earn less than Rs 25 lakh by day's end. If these predictions hold true, the film won't reach the Rs 40 crore mark before 'Game Changer' and 'Fateh' hit theatres.
'Baby John', despite its promising start and notable cast, has not managed to captivate audiences as expected. The upcoming releases are likely to further impact its box office journey negatively.
