Baby John Box Office Collection Prediction For Day 13: Varun Dhawan's Film Faces Significant Decline
Varun Dhawan's latest film, Baby John, has been making headlines since its announcement. As the final Bollywood release of 2024, it is produced by Atlee and Murad Khetani. The film features Jackie Shroff as the main antagonist, with Keerthy Suresh, Wamiqa Gabbi, and Sanya Malhotra playing significant roles. Baby John is an action drama and serves as the official remake of the Tamil movie Theri, which starred Thalapathy Vijay and Samantha.
Despite its star-studded cast and high expectations, Baby John has faced challenges at the box office from its opening week. Varun Dhawan portrays a police officer in this film, marking his second such role after Dishoom. This project also marks his first collaboration with Keerthy Suresh, whose on-screen chemistry with Varun has caught attention. Additionally, Salman Khan's cameo appearance has been a highlight for fans.

The film struggled to gain momentum during its second weekend. Reports from Sacnilk indicate that Baby John earned Rs 75 lakhs on its twelfth day (second Saturday) and Rs 90 lakhs on its thirteenth day (second Sunday). These figures brought the total earnings to Rs 38.60 crores.
Based on current trends, Baby John is anticipated to experience a significant drop of around 50% in collections today (day 13/second Monday). The film is expected to earn between Rs 40-50 lakhs at the box office, approaching the Rs 40 crores mark.
In an interview with India Today, Varun Dhawan discussed drawing inspiration from Theri for Baby John. He explained that Atlee wanted to adapt rather than directly remake the original film. "When Atlee came with this film, there was a reason behind it," Varun said. "We have to use it as an adaptation and not really a proper remake... So, if someone comes in expecting a book-by-book remake, they will be disappointed because that's not what the film is."
