Baby John Box Office Collection Predictions: Varun Dhawan's Film Expected To Cross Rs 20 Crores
Varun Dhawan's latest film, Baby John, hit theatres on December 25, adding a festive touch to Christmas for his fans. This Bollywood film is a remake of the 2016 Tamil movie Theri, which starred Thalapathy Vijay. Directed and written by Kalees, Baby John marks Varun's first major release this year. The film also stars Keerthy Suresh, Jackie Shroff, and Wamiqa Gabbi in key roles.
The anticipation surrounding Baby John has been significant, with Varun showcasing a new side of himself. This project is Keerthy's first venture into Bollywood and her initial collaboration with Varun. Audiences are eager to see Varun's portrayal of a cop and his on-screen clash with Jackie Shroff, who plays the main antagonist. The film has generated considerable excitement among fans.

Sacnilk reported that Baby John had a promising start at the box office on its Christmas release day. It collected Rs 12.50 crores on its opening day, marking Varun's highest post-pandemic opening.
Following the Christmas festivities, Baby John's earnings are expected to decline slightly. Predictions suggest that the action thriller will earn between Rs 10-12 crores today (day 2/first Thursday), bringing its total collection to around Rs 20-22 crores.
In an interview with India Today, Varun discussed drawing inspiration from Theri for Baby John. He explained: "When Atlee came with this film, there was a reason behind it, and he said that we had to change a lot of the geography of the film. We have to use it as an adaptation and not really a proper remake, and I think that's what's done. Like you see, a lot of the frames and a lot of the story angles are different. So, if someone comes in expecting a book-by-book remake, they will be disappointed because that's not what the film is. It's an adaptation. We're not running away from that, but it's more of an adaptation".
