Baby John Box Office Collection Day 1 Prediction: Varun Dhawan Aims For His Highest Opener In Five Years
Varun Dhawan is set to delight his fans this Christmas with the release of his new action thriller, Baby John. The film, featuring Keerthy Suresh, Wamiqa Gabbi, and Jackie Shroff, is highly anticipated and marks Keerthy's Bollywood debut. Baby John is reportedly a remake of Thalapathy Vijay's 2016 film Theri.
Directed by Kalees and written by Atlee, Kalees, and Sumit Arora, Baby John showcases Varun as a police officer. This role marks his second portrayal of a cop after Dishoom. Keerthy Suresh plays his wife in the film. Jackie Shroff takes on the role of the main antagonist. The trailer has generated significant interest among audiences.

The film is expected to perform well at the box office despite competition from Pushpa 2: The Rule. According to Filmibeat, Baby John might earn between Rs 11-13 crores on its opening day. If it resonates with viewers, it could reach up to Rs 16 crores.
This release is crucial for Varun Dhawan as he seeks a solo hit. Although Kalank remains his highest opener with Rs 21.60 crores on its first day, Baby John could become his biggest opener in five years.
In an interview with India Today, Varun discussed how Theri inspired Baby John. He explained that Atlee wanted to adapt rather than remake the original film entirely. "When Atlee came with this film, there was a reason behind it," Varun said. "We have to use it as an adaptation and not really a proper remake."
He further elaborated that while some elements remain similar, many aspects differ from Theri. "A lot of the frames and a lot of the story angles are different," he added. Viewers expecting an exact replica might be disappointed since it's more of an adaptation.
As excitement builds around Baby John's release, fans eagerly await its performance at cinemas across the Middle East during this festive season.
