Baba Siddiqui Murder Case Update: Main Accused Shiva Kumar Arrested Near Nepal Border

The murder case of Baba Siddiqui has captured significant attention since it occurred last month. Recently, the main suspect was apprehended near the Nepal border in Bahraich by a joint effort of the Uttar Pradesh and Mumbai Police. Shiva Kumar, the primary accused, was detained by the STF team while attempting to escape with four accomplices. To date, 23 individuals have been arrested in connection with this case.

Shiva Kumar, identified as the main shooter, hails from Gandara near Bahraich. He fled immediately after the incident and had been on the run since then. Authorities believe he holds crucial information that could advance the investigation. Alongside him, four others—Anurag Kashyap, Gyan Prakash Tripathi, Akash Srivastava, and Akhilendra Pratap Singh—were also arrested. They are all residents of Gandara districts and allegedly provided refuge to the shooters.

Two more individuals, Aditya Gulankar and Niyaz Shaikh from Pune City's Karvenagar area, were detained for their involvement in the murder of NCP leader Baba Siddiqui. Investigations revealed their connections with Pravin Lonkar and Rupesh Mohol, who supplied them with a 9 mm pistol and ammunition.

Anmol Bishnoi, brother of jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi and reportedly residing in Canada, is suspected to be behind Baba Siddiqui's murder. The motive for this crime remains unclear at this point.
