ASEAN India Music Festival 2024 Concludes With Jasleen Royal's Enchanting Performance On Day Three Finale
The ASEAN India Music Festival 2024 concluded with a vibrant celebration at the historic Purana Qila, showcasing a blend of music and unity over three days. This event, highlighting India's 'Act East Policy' and its partnership with ASEAN nations, was organised by the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) and Seher. The festival began with Hon'ble Minister of State for External Affairs, Mr. Pabitra Margherita, who emphasised unity and cultural appreciation.
Mr. Margherita expressed the festival's significance, stating, "ASEAN India Music Festival 2024 has shown how melodies can dissolve boundaries and foster connections that go beyond geography. Over these three days, we've celebrated not just the rhythm of instruments but the heartbeat of two regions bound by shared history and aspirations. The energy here at Purana Qila is a reminder that when art speaks, it unites us in ways words alone cannot. It has been an honor to witness this beautiful symphony of cultures."

The festival's last evening was electrifying, featuring performances that captured its essence. Jasleen Royal from India delivered a captivating performance within the ancient walls, creating a magical atmosphere. She was joined by ASEAN artists like Subsonic Eye from Singapore and Milledenials from Indonesia, among others, each adding to the musical harmony that enthralled the audience.
Reflecting on her experience, Jasleen Royal remarked, "What an incredible way to close the ASEAN India Music Festival! Each night has been unique, but Day 3 truly felt like the culmination of something special. Performing alongside such talented artists from ASEAN, I felt a deep sense of unity in the diversity of music we were creating. It was more than just a concert—it was a celebration of connections, of being present in the moment, and of sharing stories through music. I couldn't have asked for a better ending to this amazing journey."
Shaan also highlighted music's unifying power during his performance. He noted, "Music is the heartbeat of humanity, and this festival showed us just how powerful that connection can be. Performing here has been nothing short of magical—sharing a stage with artists from ASEAN and feeling the audience's energy was surreal. Music really is a universal language, and tonight proved that beyond a doubt."
The festival attracted thousands with its free-entry format and diverse lineup featuring Indian and ASEAN talents. From Shaan's timeless tunes to Raghu Dixit's folk-rock anthems and Sukriti & Prakriti Kakar's pop beats to Jasleen Royal's heartfelt melodies—the event offered a unique cultural fusion that left lasting memories.
Bridging Cultures
Mr. Sanjeev Bhargava, Founder Director of Seher, summarised the event's success by highlighting its role in bridging cultures: "Day 3 wasn't just a finale—it was a celebration of everything that makes this festival special. Over these three days, we've seen artists and audiences come together to create moments that transcend cultures, languages, and borders. The energy tonight was electric, and the connections formed will resonate far beyond these walls."
The festival leaves behind a legacy of creativity and unity through music connecting people across borders. It celebrated artistic talents while reinforcing cultural ties between India and ASEAN countries. Enthusiasts can anticipate more events strengthening bonds through art and culture.
