Aranmanai 4, the latest sequel in the Tamil comedy-horror franchise created by Sundar C, premiered on May 3. Featuring Tamannaah and Raashii Khanna, the film has received a positive response from audiences. It has been performing well at the box office, becoming Kollywood's highest and first grosser of 2024. The Telugu version, titled 'Baak', was released on the same day.

Aranmanai 4 has achieved significant success, earning over Rs 100 Crore worldwide from its Tamil and Telugu versions. In India alone, the movie has grossed approximately Rs 61 Crore.

Shivani (Tamannaah) marries against her father and brother's wishes and lives with her husband and two children in a large heritage property. Her brother, Advocate Saravanan (Sundar C), learns of her suicide and her husband's death. Villagers claim to have seen Shivani running out of the house when she was found hanging in a well. Concerned for his niece's safety, Saravanan moves in with them. Sinister forces threaten their lives, including a ghost named 'Baak' from northeast India. The story revolves around how Shivani and Saravanan protect the children and confront these threats.

The film has been dubbed in Hindi and is set to release across the Hindi-speaking regions on May 31 under the same name, Aranmanai 4. Tamannaah and Raashii Khanna are well-known faces in these areas, and the filmmakers aim to leverage their popularity.
