Aparshakti Khurana Shares How Director's Advice Shook Him: A Glimpse Into Bollywood's Reality
Aparshakti Khurana, currently enjoying the success of Stree 2, recently shared a distressing experience. He revealed that he cried all night after receiving poor advice from a well-known Bollywood director. Without naming the director, Aparshakti discussed how this advice highlighted the darker aspects of Bollywood and how actors present themselves to the public.
In a recent interview, Aparshakti Khurana recounted an encounter with a famous filmmaker. The director told him, "People shouldn't have access to you," and added, "If you are so approachable, to fir aap star nahin ban sakte (You cannot be a star then)."

The filmmaker advised him not to be too warm and said, "Aapne aap ko chhan ke rakho." This advice deeply hurt Aparshakti, who believed his approachability was his strength. He questioned why he should change now and cried extensively that night.
The actor also mentioned Stree 2 director Amar Kaushik's favourite line, "Badalna kyu hai?"
Aparshakti Khurana is currently seen in Stree 2, reprising his role as Bittu, the best friend of Rajkummar Rao's character from the 2018 horror-comedy. Besides this film, he has also appeared in Berlin on Zee5 alongside Rahul Bose and Ishwak.
This incident sheds light on the pressures actors face in Bollywood. Despite his success in Stree 2 and other projects, Aparshakti's experience reveals the emotional toll such advice can take on actors.
His story serves as a reminder of the challenges within the industry and how personal values can clash with professional expectations.
