Anushka Sen Makes History As First Indian Artist To Perform Live At Times Square

Anushka Sen has achieved a remarkable feat by becoming the first Indian artist to perform live at Times Square in New York City. This talented actor made her singing debut in the West, collaborating with AY Young, a UN Young Leader for SDGs, on his Battery Tour. The tour aims to power 1,000 concerts using clean energy. Together, they performed "Graduation," a song from "Project 17," an album inspired by the United Nations' 17 Sustainable Development Goals.

The event was part of Climate Week, organised by the Climate Group, and took place at Times Square. "Graduation" was composed by Grammy Award winner Ken Lewis and highlights Anushka's dedication to education advocacy. This significant event marks a milestone in her career, showcasing her talent on an international platform.

During her performance at Times Square, Anushka exuded confidence in an upcycled outfit designed by a local Jaipur designer. Her attire reflected her commitment to promoting sustainability and homegrown brands. She added cultural flair with a small bindi and performed alongside a live band.
