Anupam Kher Marks 40 Years In Film Industry With Gratitude And Optimism
Anupam Kher is widely recognised as one of the most talented actors in the Bollywood industry. He began his career with the 1984 release Saaransh, directed by Mahesh Bhatt. At 29, Kher portrayed an elderly man and won the Filmfare Best Actor award for his performance. Recently, Saaransh celebrated its 40th anniversary, marking Kher's four decades in the industry.
In a recent interaction with Filmibeat, Kher was asked if he had anticipated such a long journey in the industry. He responded, "I am an eternal optimist. For me, the ultimate definition of optimism is that nothing is all wrong; even a clock that has stopped running is right twice a day. I had not thought about 40 years or 50 years, but the way life goes on, I neither think about the past nor the future; I enjoy the present."

"But, I am thankful to God and the people of the industry that they have given me so much love, not only in India but also abroad. I am a Hindi medium guy, and for a Hindi medium guy to do so many films and series abroad, apart from my hard work it is also God's blessings and people's love," he added.
Over these 40 years, Anupam Kher has been part of numerous memorable films such as Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, Hum Aapke Hain Koun, Karma, Tezaab, Chandni, Chaalbaaz, Lamhe, Beta, The Kashmir Files, and many more. From comedy to negative roles, Kher has consistently demonstrated his versatility.
The actor was recently seen in Chhota Bheem: The Curse Of Damyaan. He has several upcoming projects including Emergency and Vijay 69. Additionally, he is making his directorial comeback with a film titled Tanvi.
