Director Anubhav Sinha To Reflect With Break After Netflix's Kandahar Hijack Controversy
Anubhav Sinha To Take A Break: IC 814: The Kandahar Hijack has been in controversy for a long time now. Anubhav Sinha directorial released on Netflix on Thursday, August 29, 2024. As the fans watched the entire series, they were irked by the fact that the makers missed to address the real name of the terrorists in the series. Recently, Vice President at Netflix India stated that the opening part of IC 814: The Kandahar Hijack will have a disclaimer, explaining the real name of the terrorists. But it seems that the controversy has affected the director and he is planning to take a break before he starts working on other projects.
Anubhav Sinha is a director, producer and screenwriter who is famed for his movies like- Article 15, Thappad, Bheed and Mulk. Recently, he received rave reviews for not mentioning the real name of the terrorists in IC 814: The Kandahar Hijack. In an interview with HT when Anubhav was asked what's waiting next for him, the director said, "There are 4-5 scripts but now I am taking a break and will probably to a hill station, relax and then start afresh."

Anubhav Sinha overlooked the controversial part and said to the outlet, "Pyaar bahut zyada aa raha hai. All the praise, love and pats on the back make everything else fade away." He then addressed the controversies, saying, "These controversies are something else entirely. I don't want to play that game, nor do I know how to do that!" Anubhav claimed that he has been working on the script of the web series since June 2002 and "remained truthful with the script."
