Anjini Dhawan Discusses Zendaya Comparison As She Prepares For Bollywood Debut In Binny And Family

Anjini Dhawan, niece of Varun Dhawan, is gearing up for her Bollywood debut in "Binny And Family." The film features Pankaj Kapoor, Himani Shivpuri, Rajesh Kumar, and Charu Shankar. The trailer, released a few weeks back, has captured significant attention. Since its release, many have noted Anjini's resemblance to American singer and actress Zendaya, dubbing her the "Indian Zendaya."

During a conversation with Filmibeat, Anjini shared her thoughts on being compared to the Hollywood star. She expressed her admiration by saying, "It is a compliment. She is very pretty. I am very excited to be compared to her. In terms of fashion, I really look up to her; I love her style, I love her vibe, and she is also a great actor. So, I love the comparison, and I am not complaining."

As the third generation from the Dhawan family entering Bollywood, Anjini was asked about feeling any pressure regarding this legacy. She confidently stated that there is no pressure as each individual's journey is unique. "There's no pressure. Everyone has their own journey, everyone has their own path; two people won't have the same path, and an actor's journey is all the most very individual. So, this is my journey, it is my path. I know I have my family's blessings and support always," she explained.

Rajesh Kumar added a humorous touch during the interview by jokingly saying about Anjini's comparison with Zendaya: "Woh Zendaya, isne jhanda gada (laughs)."

"Binny And Family," directed by Ssanjay Tripaathy, is set for release on 27th September 2024. Anjini already has entrepreneurial experience and now steps into acting with this film. Audiences are keen to see if she can captivate them with her performance.
