In March 2025, Thiruvananthapuram in Kerala will become a hub for animation, VFX, gaming, comics, and extended reality. The AniMela-AMS Festival 2025 merges AniMela with the Animation Masters Summit (AMS), aiming to boost India's AVGC-XR sector. This event marks a major step for creative industries and positions Kerala as a leader in creative and technological progress.
The AniMela-AMS Festival 2025 is expected to draw over 8,000 participants, including industry leaders, policymakers, professionals, and students. Attendees can enjoy zones with hands-on technology experiences, film screenings of Indian and international animations, expert-led knowledge centers, and networking sessions with global industry figures.

The collaboration with France's Annecy International Film Festival adds an international dimension to the festival. This partnership aims to attract global talent to Kerala, offering unique networking opportunities while showcasing Indian creativity on a worldwide stage. The inclusion of initiatives like the International MIFA Campus will nurture emerging creators.
