The show's success led to its inclusion in the top 10 on Prime Video in over 20 countries, prompting Amazon to renew it for another season.

Following her comedic success, Ananya is venturing into the thriller genre with "CTRL," directed by Vikramaditya Motwane. Scheduled for release on Netflix on October 4th, this film reunites her with Vihaan Samat from "Call Me Bae." Known for his distinctive storytelling style, Motwane promises a gripping narrative that will allow Ananya to explore a darker role.

In a past interview with PTI in 2023, Ananya shared her aspirations: "I've always wanted people to take me seriously as an actor. It's not that it (choices) changed after Gehraiyaan. I'm in my 20s, I'm growing up and there are different things that I'm relating to. There are different kinds of stories I want to do. It's simultaneous with my growth as a person. My choices are also changing. It's a ripple effect."

Ananya is currently filming a historical courtroom drama tentatively titled "The Untold Story of C Sankaran Nair," based on the Jallianwala Bagh massacre. In this intense role, she plays a lawyer involved in a significant case, marking a departure from her previous characters. Sharing the screen with Bollywood stalwarts like Akshay Kumar and R. Madhavan, she aims to showcase another dimension of her acting prowess.
