Anand Pandit Aspires To Create Trishul-2 Featuring Amitabh Bachchan As A Tribute
Anand Pandit, a seasoned producer, reflected on his journey to Mumbai on his 60th birthday. He arrived in the city with a line from 'Trishul' resonating in his thoughts. Initially, he was just an admirer hoping to see Amitabh Bachchan outside his home. Over time, he became Bachchan's close friend and creative partner. Now, Pandit aims to fulfil his dream of creating a film starring his idol.
"I have watched 'Trishul' almost 60 times over the years and it impacted me deeply when it was released. The story of a man who comes with nothing to a big city and makes it big in the construction business inspired me immensely. To recall all this on my 60th birthday in the presence of Mr Bachchan was an almost surreal experience. 'Trishul-2' will be my tribute to the man who began to influence my life even before he met me in person. 'Trishul' was a cinematic masterpiece and it was Amit Ji's performance that ultimately motivated me to move to Mumbai and build a legacy from scratch."

Pandit envisions 'Trishul-2' as an exploration of Vijay's life after being embraced by his family. He is curious about whether Vijay found happiness with Geeta and if his family expanded. Pandit wonders if Vijay managed to heal past wounds. Many original cast members have passed away, but Pandit is eager to share what might have happened after the film ended in 1978.
The opportunity to work with Amitabh Bachchan on this project is more than just professional for Pandit; it's deeply personal. "I wish to pay homage to the film that shaped my destiny," he shares. This project is also Pandit's heartfelt tribute to a superstar who has greatly influenced him and inspired countless fans through both cinema and life.
