Ammy Virk Celebrates International Tea Day With His Masala Chai Tradition
Today marks World International Tea Day, a day designated by the United Nations to highlight the cultural and economic significance of tea. This celebration goes beyond just a beverage; it honours a tradition that crosses borders and cultures.
Bad Newz actor Ammy Virk, known for his love of tea, shared his thoughts on this special day. "Drinking tea is a cherished ritual in every Indian household, and for me, it's an integral part of my day. I like my freshly brewed cup of tea in the morning! It is usually a nice cup of masala chai with cardamom, clove and other herbs with very less sugar, all brewed to perfection," he said.

Virk elaborated on his tea-drinking habits, stating, "Having chai for me is a leisurely activity and I like to sip on it while watching something on television. If I am on the set it's usually in the vanity during a break. I enjoy two cups of tea every day, one in the morning and one early evening! Chai is a tradition which I religiously follow."
Tea has been an integral part of various cultures for centuries. In India, it is more than just a drink; it is a symbol of hospitality and warmth. The preparation and consumption of tea involve rituals that bring people together, fostering social bonds.
Economic Impact
The economic importance of tea cannot be overstated. It is one of the most traded commodities globally, providing livelihoods to millions of people. From small farmers to large-scale plantations, the tea industry supports a vast network of workers and contributes significantly to the economies of many countries.
