Industry experts predict that the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR) will maintain its status as a premier real estate market in India in 2024. Reflecting a post-pandemic surge, a report shows a 31% rise in sales across major Indian cities in 2023, with Mumbai leading with approximately 1,53,870 units sold.

Andheri West is becoming a hotspot for Mumbai's elite. Superstar Amitabh Bachchan recently purchased a penthouse office on the 30th floor of 'Signature,' a landmark developed by Lotus Developers, led by veteran producer Anand Pandit.

Many Bollywood stars have invested in properties in Andheri West. Notable names include Ajay Devgn, Shahrukh Khan, Hrithik Roshan, and Kartik Aaryan. Other celebrities like Kajol, Manoj Bajpayee, Sara Ali Khan, Udit Narayan, Rajkummar Rao, Anand L Rai, Kriti Sanon, Janhvi Kapoor, Sunny Leone, Sajid Nadiadwala, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, and A R Rahman also own properties here.

In addition to individual stars, several production houses and film bodies have established offices in Andheri West. These include Maddock Films, GooseBumps Entertainment, the Indian Motion Picture Producers Association (IMPPA), the Indian Film and Television Directors Association (IFTDA), and Chrome Pictures. This concentration makes the area a significant hub for Hindi cinema.

A primary reason for this trend is the convenience it offers to celebrities who already reside in the area. "These high-profile clients also have specific preferences for interior design," said a source. "Companies like Lotus Developers prioritise these preferences and customise spaces accordingly before handing them over."

An example of such customisation is Ajay Devgn's office space. Each detail was tailored to reflect his personality with a contemporary design that balances flamboyance and practicality.

This trend highlights how Andheri West has become an attractive destination for both residential and commercial investments among Bollywood's elite and industry professionals.
